My name is Meghalee Das and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Technical Communication & Rhetoric at Texas Tech University. My research interests include user experience (UX), intercultural technical communication, inclusive online instructional design, and digital rhetoric. I am seeking a tenure-track position in technical communication, professional or business communication, rhetoric, or writing studies.
My research and teaching are focused on investigating and advocating for an inclusive user experience (UX), where I center the needs of the user, particularly those belonging to multiply marginalized and underrepresented groups. For my dissertation, I use user-centered design methodologies to study the UX of international students in synchronous online classes. I received various awards for my research, teaching, and service from national organizations like the CPTSC, ATTW, Kairos, STC, and CCCC. Besides technical communication, I have experience in business administration (MBA), journalism, and English (B.A. and M.A.). This website documents my research, teaching, and service activities, as well as philosophies, goals, and accomplishments.
